Warhol meets Haas in Beverly Hills Luxury Home
Fox 11 news recently ran a story featuring a 7,600 sq. ft., 5 bedroom, 8 bathroom modern home that beautifully showcased several pieces of art from famous artist Andy Warhol. This masterpiece home was specifically built to display modern art. The electronics of this top property were designed and integrated by none other than Haas Entertainment.
From a touch of a button the lights dim, the fireplace sparks to life and the shades & glass door slide away removing the barrier between you and the outdoor entertainment space. Amazing? Indeed. But how? Haas Entertainment installed a custom programmed automation system from Crestron that controls everything from the dimming of the lights to the opening & closing of the window shades. There was tremendous emphasis put on the overall convenience of the system. Controls were placed and labeled in such a way that someone could control everything with no prior training or explanation of what button to press. The 41 year old custom integration company also installed 4K smart displays throughout the home including one in the outdoor entertainment area. All the displays were integrated into the very same, easy-to-use, control system.
Not wanting anything else visible on the walls that could detract from the Warhol signature art pieces, Haas Entertainment chose and installed Stealth Acoustics “Invisible Speakers”. These ineffable speakers have absolutely no visible appearance. The end result is that your favorite playlist can be heard from a completely invisible speaker system that resonates through out the home.
Haas Entertainment also designed a subterranean screening room, ostensibly for watching some of Andy Warhol’s art films. Here, speakers by Martin Logan were chosen for their incredible sonic presence.
Haas Entertainment also had a hand in the state-of-the-art security and surveillance system. The number and type of IC Realtime cameras and the details of the system are classified but we can divulge that the majority of detectors and sensors are extremely well hidden in order to preserve the home’s aesthetic. IC Realtech connects the cameras & networked video recorders (NVRs) with a state-of-the-art machine-learning artificial-intelligence (ML/AI) system called Ella.
This 17+ million dollar listing was completed on time said system designer Ian Yost. Ian also added: “It was a real pleasure to help see this project to fruition over the last 2+ years. Our team at Haas is proud to have been invited to bring modern smart-home and entertainment features to this quite literal, work-of-art. To mount our state-of-the-art, flat-screen displays on the walls next to a collection of Andy Warhol’s iconic work was a humbling experience to say the least.”
