Technology developed during the past few years has profoundly changed what is possible in a home cinema. The new generation of surround sound and object-based soundtracks, powered by modern sound processing equipment, together with true 4K Ultra HD video with high dynamic range, create an immersive experience that isn’t even possible in your neighborhood movie theater. Finally, the critical element, the content source that makes it all possible: Kaleidescape.

Perfect integration with your control system.
AV integrators and tech people in general love to automate tasks. The Kaleidescape system integrates beautifully into your smart home control system. Dim the light, lower the shades, play the movie, etc. It can all be controlled with the touch of a button. And when the credits roll, the lights can be programmed to come up slowly automatically. Just like a commercial theater only better because it’s in your home.
Creating a Special Experience
Haas Entertainment is all about creating the perfect Kaleidescape Home Cinema Experience. We can custom program your home automation system and lighting so that it responds to cues in the movie you’ve selected. For example: When you start the Kaleidescape system we can turn down lighting zones affecting the screen and turn on step or pathway lighting. We can dim the cove, column or accent lighting down to 20% and the downlights or reading lights to 10%. Then, when the movie begins everything fades to off over a long 15 second duration. This creates a magical viewing experience. When the movie is over, the lights are programmed to fade up very slowly, not abruptly. No one likes the lights turned on after being in the dark.
Automatic Off
When you’re done watching the movie, just leave the theater. After the credits are finished rolling the system can be programmed to shut everything down automatically. Imagine how easy, just leave and everything turns off by itself. That’s what automation should be like.
Convenience and Cinematic Fidelity
The award-winning Kaleidescape Strato is the world’s finest movie player. It provides the most convenient way for movie lovers to enjoy their favorite films in the best quality available anywhere. Strato can play a movie in 4K Ultra HD with high dynamic range at 60 frames per second, with lossless audio, including Dolby Atmos.
Players and servers group together to suit the needs of any home. The beautiful Kaleidescape onscreen display makes finding movies a pleasure. It starts a movie immediately without trailers or warnings, and lets you jump right to your favorite scene or song without fast forwarding. Integration with modern AV control systems enables delightful cinematic features – such as lights automatically dimming as the movie begins, and screen masking automatically adjusting to the film’s aspect ratio.
The Terra movie server stores up to 40TB of movies and serves them to any number of Strato players in the home network. Terra also provides computing and caching services that enhance player performance. Up to ten Strato players can play 4K movies simultaneously from a single Terra movie server. A system may contain any number of Terra movie servers.
Strato S has an internal hard drive with the capacity to store either 6TB or 12TB of movies. Typically, the 12TB version will store approximately 300 movies. The Strato S can be used on its own, or in a system with other Strato or Terra components. The Strato S plays movies from its internal hard drive, from a Terra movie server, or from another Strato S movie player.
Strato C is a compact Strato without internal storage. The Strato C plays movies from a Terra movie server, or from a Strato S movie player.
