Brodmann speakers have a unique design. We like to say that sitting in front of a pair of Brodmann speakers is like facing a live symphony. Beyond that, when you get up and move, the music follows.
Haas Entertainment is home to many fine speaker manufacturers and we find that many manufacturer’s products actually do bring the listener as close as possible to the music. That said, Brodmann speakers are different. They seem to transport the listener into the performance space where the music was recorded. The audio equipment becomes instruments.
There is a reason for this phenomenon; acoustic instruments don’t create music by ‘pumping air’ with small speaker diaphragms: Instruments like cellos, basses, pianos and so on work by generating microscopic movement in large panels. Brodmann speakers employ the use of resonating sound panels, similar to those found in their pianos.
Oh, you didn’t know Brodmann made pianos too? Indeed. Brodmann Acoustics is a three century old manufacturer of handcrafted pianos.
You may be interested to know that Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the most admired composers in the history of Western music, was a Brodmann customer.
Of course, there is no great mystery here. We all instinctively know music touches our soul. It’s penetrating vibration has a sensual influence on us and inspires passion and excitement. It is said that living with music is living with passion, beauty, and style.
